In late December, Profile Precision Extrusions (PPE) completed its relocation aluminium coilto a new 100,000-square-foot manufacturing facility, which more than doubled the company's production capacity.

 


For companies such as 3M and Boeing as well as Pentair and MedPlast, PPE, which is based in Phoenix, Arizona, aluminium foil containers manufactures complex miniature aluminum extrusions as well as extruded aluminum tubing.

Building on the cutting-edge aluminum extrusion factory began on November 11, 2019, and the company expects to have its first aluminum extrusion press operational by the summer of 2020.

PPE can extrude tubes with an outside diameter as small as.094, aluminum with a wall thickness as thin as.010, aluminium coil and tubing with outside diameter tolerances as tight as +/-.0005 using proprietary technology.

PPE components can be found in a wide range of products, including disposable surgical instruments andaluminium foil containersmedical diagnostic equipment, as well as commercial aircraft and linear slide systems.

According to Loren Larson, general manager of PPE, the new facility is approximately 250% larger thanthe company's previous location. The company, according to Larson, saw an increase in its customer base in 2020, despite the coronavirus pandemic.

PPE intends to continue investing in the business and to expand its workforce inresponse to market demand.
