The Speedway Classic program has arrived in MLB The Show 25, and it comes with one of the most unique stadium additions the game has seen in a while, Bristol Motor Speedway. When San Diego Studio first teased this program, many in MLB 25 Stubs the community (myself included) were curious, and a little skeptical, about how it would play out.

That skepticism came from two places. First, the offline grind in MLB The Show 25 has been particularly demanding this year, with some of the best content locked behind packs, massive collections, or programs that take serious time to complete. Second, Diamond Dynasty players have been vocal about wanting more rewarding free content, rather than everything being tied to marketplace purchases or paid bundles.

The good news? The Speedway Classic program delivers on at least one of those requests. Not only does it feature a free 99-rated Ronald Acuña Jr., but it also gives every player a chance to unlock Bristol Motor Speedway without spending a single MLB 25 Stubs. That said, if you're sitting on a stash of MLB The Show 25 Stubs, you may still want to use them to speed up other program rewards once you've grabbed the stadium.

A Free 99-Rated Ronald Acuña Jr.

Let's start with the other big prize in this program, Ronald Acuña Jr.'s 99 overall card. Players have been asking all week for a top-tier Acuña that doesn't require buying into a collection or pulling him from an expensive pack. While his 75 Vision rating might make him a bit more challenging to use on Hall of Fame or Legend difficulties, his raw hitting and speed make him one of the most exciting cards in the game right now.

Still, as good as Acuña is, the novelty factor of a baseball stadium set inside a NASCAR track might be the real headliner here.

How Does Bristol Motor Speedway Play in MLB The Show 25

One of the ongoing debates in the MLB The Show community revolves around stadium elevation. High-elevation stadiums have historically made it easier to hit home runs, sometimes rewarding mediocre swings with long balls. Over the years, stadiums like Shield Woods and Laughing Mountain were notorious for this, until they were nerfed in MLB The Show 25.

Coors Field still maintains its reputation as a home-run haven thanks to its extreme elevation, but Bristol Motor Speedway lands somewhere in the middle. While the real-life location sits at over 1,600 feet above sea level, the game lists it at just 951 feet. That's high enough for the ball to carry a little better than sea level, but not so high that it turns every deep fly into a guaranteed homer.

Stadium Dimensions

The layout of Bristol Motor Speedway makes it fairly hitter-friendly:

    Left Field: 330 ft.

    Right Field: 330 ft.

    Center Field: 400 ft.

    Left-Center: 384 ft.

    Right-Center: 375 ft.

The symmetrical corners and slightly shortened gaps mean hitters can find extra-base hits with well-placed contact. During my own test game at the stadium, I noticed the ball carrying well on solid swings, and I even managed to park one into the stands without needing perfect timing.

Fielding feels standard for most plays, and the stadium's visual atmosphere, complete with the NASCAR track wrapping around the field, makes it a refreshing change from the usual rotation of MLB The Show Stubs for sale Diamond Dynasty parks.
