Unlike the two Item Factions - the Merchant's Guild and Circle of Fortune - The Woven is classified as an Endgame Faction. This means you don't have to choose between them and your Item Faction of choice. You can freely join The Woven while still maintaining membership with either the Guild or the Circle, much like with Last Epoch gold the Forgotten Knights.
Key Features of the Woven
The moment you align yourself with the Weaver, you'll unlock several unique mechanics designed to expand Last Epoch's endgame loop. The most important of these are the Weaver Tree and Woven Echoes, both of which will continue to grow in depth and complexity as you gain Ranks within the Faction.
By investing time into the Woven, you'll unlock specialized rewards, more challenging encounters, and the ability to tailor your progression toward specific items and crafting resources. For endgame players, this opens new doors for efficiency and character optimization.
Ranking Up with the Woven
Progress within the Faction is tied to a resource known as Memory Amber. This glowing blue-and-yellow currency drops exclusively from enemies "Touched by the Weaver." Defeating these foes will cause Memory Amber orbs to drop, which can then be collected simply by running over them. Sufficient Last Epoch gold makes it easier to defeat the enemy.
Memory Amber serves two key purposes:
Faction Progression: Collecting and spending it contributes toward raising your Rank with The Woven.
Utility Use: Memory Amber can also be spent on rerolling Idol Enchants or buying new Woven Echoes directly from Masque.
Every Rank you earn grants you one Weaver Tree point, as well as expanding the pool of purchasable Woven Echoes. This creates a feedback loop - farm enemies, collect Amber, invest in the Tree, unlock stronger bonuses, and repeat.
The Weaver Tree
The Weaver Tree lies at the heart of the Faction's progression system. Think of it as a branching skill tree, but instead of improving your character's abilities directly, it enhances your interaction with Last Epoch's endgame systems.
The Weaver Tree features 50 unlockable nodes in total, each costing one Weaver point. Nodes offer a variety of upgrades, such as:
Improved drop rates for specific item types or crafting materials.
Enhancements to Season 2 features like Tombs and Cemeteries of the Erased.
Bonuses when interacting with Exiled Mages and Monolith of Fate Echoes.
You can earn Weaver points through both ranking up with the Faction and by completing certain Woven Echoes for the first time. Importantly, the Tree is flexible - you can respec at any time by spending Memory Amber, allowing you to cheap Last Epoch gold adapt your strategy depending on your build or current goals.
