This beautiful set of people exchanged their marriage vows on 22 August 2018 around the banks of Lake Como. With such an impressive backdrop for his or her ceremony and reception, the pair wisely decided to let the setting, the river, and the Villa shine.

The simplicity of Xana's A-line, satin gown belies the gorgeous lace detailing towards the back, and I adore the entire train which moves so wonderfully behind her as she moves.

"I decided on simple wedding dresses. It was one from the first I tried it on and I loved its simplicity of it. It was also the very first dress I found which helped me feel like a bride. I fell in love before I had left the fitting room!"

"Robbie and I were lucky enough to get to attend a couple of our close friends' weddings in Sorrento and Tuscany and we fell deeply in love with Italy. We visited Lake Como the moment we got engaged and fell in love using the first venue we had. To us, it had been perfect and like not one other place we'd ever been to."

Xana's grown-up bridesmaids look the epitome of sheer elegance within their sexy, pure white gowns, worn with earrings and personalized necklaces. The flower girl and page boy both had outfits.

The couple first met in Chester and, after you have engaged on Christmas Day in 2016, Robbie and Xana took twenty months to plan their day. Robbie and Xana worked closely with the wedding ceremony planning duo, who concentrate on modern and gorgeous Italian celebrations, to plan and excellent the day.

As Xana's good friend sang a version of Birdie's 'Wings', Xana and her father walked down the outdoor aisle together.

Every single detail was caught spectacularly on camera by Mick and Ash. I love the epic, cinematic style of the lake and mountain landscapes, but those shots from the bride and groom are extremely romantic and timeless – I am sure they'll treasure them forever. This team also come up with a gorgeous wedding film which you'll see above.

"Miki Studios are we could have wanted and much more. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and thus professional. They were creative, original, and inspired. They made our whole connection with wedding photography so enjoyable."

"They made us feel relaxed the whole time and that we had the very best time and were very exciting. This is an additional a part of our wedding that people will always appreciate every day so fondly and possess the most amazing photos in addition towards the wedding day!"

Inside the villa, beautifully lit by, the party started after Xana and Robbie took towards the floor for their first dance, with vocal accompaniment from Lucie Evans.

"We chose 'Latch' by Sam Smith. This was the main when we met so felt like it had been on all from the time!"

Xana has a lot of favorite moments from her Italian wedding to talk about.

"So a lot of things; preparing with my bridesmaids, mum, and step-mother-in-law-to-be, seeing my father for the very first time and walking on the aisle, seeing Robbie for the very first time, marriage! The confetti moment, prosecco tower, speeches, first dance, and cutting of the wedding cake!"

Words of Wedded Wisdom

"Do not be worried about any detail as everything is going to be taken care of – something that isn't, can't happen to be important enough. Take a minute to let everything sink in. It's probably the most magical day."
