Build a Strong Swing Foundation
Hitting is often the hardest skill for new MLB The Show players to MLB The Show 25 Stubs master. The best way to improve is to develop consistent habits.
Use Custom Practice Daily
Go to Custom Practice → Hitting → Select Pitchers → Set Pitch Frequency.
Practice common trouble spots:
High sinkers
Away sliders
Low off-speed pitches
After 10–15 minutes a day, your timing and PCI control will improve quickly.
Look for One Pitch Each At-Bat
Don’t try to cover everything. Decide if you’re sitting on:
Fastball up in the zone
Slider outside
Changeup low
If the pitch you expect doesn't show up, don’t swing. Patience leads to more hard contact and more walks.
Turn Off Swing Feedback During Live Games (Optional)
Some new players fixate on feedback mid-at-bat. Instead, focus on reading pitches. Review feedback after each inning instead of MLB The Show 25 Stubs for sale after every swing.
