D2R Items update with all the new content launched in March, with a lot of players believing a full release would be available within a few weeks. The new release schedule of Diablo 2: Resurrected's upcoming update is April 14 for patch 2.4 after which comes it will launch the Ladder two weeks later in April. The delay in the Ladder release should provide additional time to ensure that the game's settings are ready for a multiplayer environment.
The third showstopper, and an issue that was deemed to be unacceptable, was the fact that the inventory did not effectively convert to the current edition in Diablo 2: Resurrected. It's obvious that such glitch isn't going to live. Blizzard decided to hold off the game in order to fix the issue, along with the database errors in order to avoid the risk of another Diablo 2: Resurrected fiasco to launch the update and the update likely being pulled anyway.
Blizzard apologizes for their decision to put off Diablo 2: Resurrected. The team that developed the game certainly wanted to get the new update out and Ladder season exactly as they planned. The decision to hold off will allow the team to have the time it needs to finish Diablo 2 Resurrected buy items: Resurrected's Ladder shine, which could mean more Ladder seasons to come.
