It's been awhile since new Runewords were added to the game. New Runewords like Obsession, Plague, or Mist, etc. all yearn to make some of the less well-known higher runes more attractive.
As of the moment in the main game there is a sense that it is the case that a Cham or Zod rune is worth far less than an Ber or Jah rune, even though the earlier two are in fact rarer. It is hoped that the new Runewords shake up the meta game and boost the market value of the non-meta runes. For the past decade in the Diablo 2 community, the consensus is that items from set are insignificant in comparison to Runewords or items that are unique.
They're typically regarded as unimportant for some others like Immortal King, or D2R items for sale PS4, but their situation is about to improve somewhat bit.Update 2.4 has changed certain values that are set for items. Their bonuses have been increased a little.
