Against packed screens, small amounts of life per hit stack up quickly. The best defensive setups don't lean on one trick. You still want capped resistances. You still want some mitigation, decent positioning, and movement that doesn't feel clumsy. But recovery is the piece that keeps those layers from falling apart once the screen gets loud.
