Soul Wars is a Jagex developed minigame which was first released on Runescape 3 on February 10, 2009. Its inclusion in OldSchool Runescape was tested and exceeded expectations which led to the minigame being included to Old School Runescape on the 6th January 2021, being the first major update of 2021!

To get to Soul Wars, one must go through the Soul Wars portal in Edgeville or the Ferox Enclave Dungeon. It is situated to the south-west of the bank, and west of the abandoned mausoleum. The portal will transport the player to Nomad's camp. The camp is where players can learn to play Soul Wars and exchange Zeal to earn rewards. The northern region of the lobby is a safe zone free of player-versus-player combat while the southern area is unsafe and allows PvP combat.
The requirements and steps to begin the Game of Soul Wars
To play Soul Wars, you'll need:
A total of 500 or higher
A combat level of 40 or higher
Old School RuneScape Membership
Logging in to Soul Wars Worlds is required. The Worlds are 320 and 328.
After you have completed the Nomad's tutorial, you are able to go into the lobby to participate in the game. When you play Soul Wars, you will be able to earn Zeal and Zeal Tokens. Zeal can be used to display your lifetime Soul Wars score. Zeal Tokens are available for purchase at the Soul Wars Reward Shop.
They are awarded after the Soul Wars game is over. It all depends on the amount you put into the game.
The winner team will receive an additional bonus Zeal and Zeal tokens. In contrast, the team who loses will be given some.
