Although the president of Nintendo of America has promised that new and exciting activities will be added to Animal Crossing: New Horizons, it remains to be seen whether these will actually occur.

2021 has been disappointingly slow following a launch year in which Animal Crossing: New Horizons became a worldwide phenomenon. Animal Crossing was completely absent from Nintendo's E3 presentation, which included major trailers for Breath of the Wild 2, Metroid Dread, and WarioWare, but no mention of the franchise. ACNH was the most played game on the Nintendo Switch just a year ago, so the lack of any new content is perplexing, animal crossing new horizons bells to say the least. Alternatively, it could indicate that Nintendo is phasing out the ACNH, which is highly unlikely, or that it is awaiting an announcement, most likely regarding a major update or DLC pack.

Since the Festivale event in January and the emergence of Mario items in February, ANCH's updates have been mediocre to non-existent. New Horizons' anniversary was celebrated in a March update, which also added new customizable variety goods to the Custom Design app, such as a photo stand. A subsequent April update made minor tweaks to the previous year's spring and summer holidays, which were previously available. Essentially, ACNH bells for sale  players have been reliving the same annual content with little in the way of new flavor - if they have even visited their islands.

Many people have found that playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons helped them get through a difficult period of time. It's baffling that there have been no updates in its second year. These exciting and new activities should be sufficient to assist players in rediscovering the magic of their respective islands, fingers crossed! And, with the real-world summer vacation season in full swing, they should be just around the corner.
