I went into Path of Exile 2 hoping for more of that old obsession, and yeah, that's pretty much what I got, only tighter, meaner, and way more polished. If you're the sort of player who can lose an evening comparing skill interactions or deciding whether to buy Exalted Orb for a new setup, this sequel gets its hooks in fast. It still lives in that grim, unforgiving fantasy space the first game...
